Sweden 2038 Winter Olympics Branding

For this project, I created a branding concept for a hypothetical 2038 Winter Olympics in Stockholm, drawing inspiration from Swedish culture and traditional art. The goal was to balance the global presence of the Olympics with a strong sense of place by incorporating recognizable cultural elements into a clean, modern design system that reflects heritage, celebration, and national pride.

For the final concept, I focused on the Dala horse as the central visual. Its symbolism of strength and good fortune aligned well with the Olympic spirit, while its bold shape and decorative patterns created a distinctive mark. I used a color palette inspired by traditional Dala horses—rich reds with accents of yellow and blue—and paired it with simple typography to keep the design balanced and ensure the illustration remained the focal point.
