Yali is a Charlotte-based designer, though she is technically a professional designer of "how to juggle everything at once." Specializing in branding, digital illustration, and UI/UX, she is constantly refining her craft—usually under the watchful eyes of her two children. They serve as her most humble creative directors, often critiquing her culinary experiments and food flavors more harshly than any design professor ever would.
When she isn’t wrestling with stubborn Illustrator layers or fine-tuning her latest interface prototype, she is likely practicing her kettlebell swing. For Yali, it is a daily mission to prove that she can handle heavy weights almost as well as she handles a tight deadline. She balances her academic rigor with a dedication to dynamic, trend-responsive design.
Terra Kids Yogurt Pouch Packaging Design
Terra Kids is an organic yogurt brand targeting the $1.2 billion US children’s market with a unique line of 99g squeeze pouches. The product features healthy essentials like organic milk, real fruit, and 10g of protein, available in Lychee and Pineapple flavors.
The brand mission is to blend ancient Chinese Terracotta Warrior aesthetics with modern snack culture to create a "heroic and adorable" shelf presence. Using the tagline "For the strongest little heroes," the design features "warrior-fruit" mascots intended to inspire adventure in kids while reassuring parents of the product's safety and nutrition.
